Joined the NVD Group (New Venture Development – www.nvd.it) in 1998 and took part in the creation of TIESSE S.p.A., of which he is Technical Director.
Born in Calitri, he graduated in Computer Science from the University of Pisa.
After a brief period in ENI Group companies as a software engineer, in 1986 he joined Olivetti and actively took part in the definition and development of local and geographical networks, directly taking care of the implementation of the most common communication and routing protocols. He experienced all the stages of network evolution: Token Ring, Ethernet, SDLC, X.25, Frame Relay, ATM and the related protocols: SNA, ISO/OSI, TCP/IP.
In 1994, he joined Italtel where he worked on SDH transmission technology.
In 1996 he returned to Olivetti and then Infostrada where he implemented a system to cover the last mile based on Wireless technology.
Since 1998, he has been managing the technical side of Tiesse, taking the company, in the space of just a few years, from a niche in the electronic payments sector to become an important and significant player in telecommunications, creating a line of routers and M2M products ranging from traditional GPRS/UMTS and xDSL technologies to modern LTE, VDSL2 and Vectoring broadband transmission technologies, and finally to systems conforming to Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) models.
He is also a Director of Localport.
