Tiesse is confirmed as the technological partner of the Q8 Group, second largest Italian oil market player, for the supply of data transmission equipment on fixed and mobile networks.
Kuwait Petroleum Italia (Q8), following completion of the acquisition of the Shell Network, Aviation, Supply and Distribution Businesses, has become the second player in the Italian oil market.
Tiesse S.p.A is confirmed as the technological partner with its Router product line, with which Q8 manages the capillary network of approximately 3,500 outlets. An Nvd Group company, the Ivrea company, founded in 1998, focuses its activity on corporate networking.
The solutions that refer to this type of user are typical of a service station, such as POS services and CCTV, and use a wide range of both wired (ADSL) as well as mobile (3G and 4G LTE) connections for all outlets of the Q8 Italia Group network.
Tiesse, which in fifteen years has established itself on the domestic market in a highly competitive industry such as that of routers and M2M devices, where it competes with the big international players, has supported Kuwait Petroleum Italia from the very outset of the technological validation project and optimal solution implementation, both for the supply hardware as well as for specific services with highly qualified personnel.
Tiesse designs and manufactures in Italy routers with connectivity for fixed (ADSL, ISDN, HDSL, G.SHDSL, VDLS2) and mobile (GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, LTE) networks and M2M devices. Their functional characteristics and high performance make them suitable to be used in Mission Critical applications, sensitive to continuity of service, security, network performance and operating cost control.
Tiesse and Q8 therefore continue their partnership and pro-actively expand it to new Smart service station management scenarios through remotely managed systems for greater efficiency, security, savings and openness to future developments.
“For Tiesse, the partnership with the Q8 Group, one of the major companies in the oil sector at the international level, is of great significance”, commented Vincenzo Luciano Lucrezia, Tiesse Technical Director. “We in fact believe that, over time, recognition of the validity of our products and of our support can be extended to other types of offer and to other markets”, continues Lucrezia. “We have been present for some time in the Energy sector, both with M2M products as well as routers, for both traditional infrastructures as well as high-tech solutions such as Smart Grids, SDN, Remote Management and Remote Control”.
