Tiesse participates in the initiative “Piantare alberi, raccogliere libri”, organized by OLI – Adriano Olivetti Leadership Institute.

The plate of the olive trees donated by Tiesse

Saturday, April 9 was held the inauguration of the initiative and Tiesse donated 2 olive trees for the regeneration of the green spaces of the buildings of the former Social Services and Library Olivetti in Via Jervis 24 in Ivrea.

During the afternoon, in addition to the celebrations for the new trees planted, a round table was held on the theme of the social/emancipatory/therapeutic value of the green from various points of view: in the project by Adriano Olivetti, scientifically and through application examples and best practices.

Were present at the planting ceremony Stefano Sertoli, Mayor of Ivrea, Renato Lavarini, Coordinator of the UNESCO site “Ivrea Industrial City of the twentieth century”, Costanza Casali, Councillor for Culture of the City of Ivrea, Stefano Zordan, co-founder of OLI, Maria Pia Giovine, Mollificio Astigiano, Vincenzo Lucrezia, Tiesse.

The plate of the olive trees we donated says: “these olive trees were donated by Tiesse to help restore the public garden designed in 1958 by the architects Figini and Pollini for the building of the Olivetti Social Services”
