Environmental communication to suppliers

Dear Supplier
the purpose of this document is to share our policy for the protection of the environment. Tiesse S.p.A. maintains a management system in compliance with UNI EN ISO 14001 and UNI EN ISO 9001 standards. The purpose of this environmental system is to identify and assess all environmental aspects deriving from its activities.
Tiesse S.p.A. requires its suppliers
- Of compliance with legal and contractual requirements;
- The integrity, health and safety of workers;
- Environmental protection;
- The commitment to adopt the same principles in the management of normal operations;
- That the vehicles used are regularly maintained and comply with the applicable regulations for road circulation in order to avoid spills of liquids, lubricants and fuels on company premises, as well as emissions outside the permitted limits. Vehicles parked in company yards must switch off their engines.
Tiesse S.p.A. recommends, where applicable, the following good environmental practices:
- Plan at least on an annual basis the authorisation/regulatory fulfilments in the environmental field;
- Systematically identify, assess and control the general environmental impacts of job order activities, in particular to:
- internal and external noise
- special waste
- use of chemical substances harmful to man and the environment
- use of natural and energy resources
- emissions into the atmosphere
- discharge of waste water
- packaging used for goods transport
- induced vehicular traffic
- Identifying any disturbing effects of activities on the environment in order to remove the causes;
- Adopt technologically advanced equipment and systems to contain/reduce environmental impacts;
- Pursue continuous improvement in the prevention and limitation of environmental impacts of contract activities;
- Promote the environmental awareness and responsibility of those involved in the activities through training and information initiatives;
Acceptance of our order implies agreement to the principles listed above and a commitment by the supplier to carry out its activities in an environmentally friendly manner.
